About maths term 3

 This term, we have been learning about things to do with math! We have learnt about Divide, Decimals, And other things. I have achieved a lot of Prototec over the past term, the ones i have achieved is: Stage 4: Completed, Stage 5: 96% in 14m 40s, Stage 6: 90% 12m 12s. With my basic facts: 5 times tables in 2m 44s, 9 Times table in 2m 36s, 4 times table in 2m 47s, 8 times table in 2m 54s. Thats my basic facts and prototec that i’ve done this term.

Music With Fran for the last time

 

Today after the roll, we went down to the hall to to the last experience of music for the term. We started off doing some learning on pizzicato. After that we did some working out on something that's different from a Ukulele, Violin, and a gutiar.   It was the frets that were different.  Later on we started putting our fingers from they string then off over and over again. It was quite hard, I do think it was for the first time to!

3 days off of school

  Day One: On Monday night, I did not fell good before I went to bed. I took a thew doses of this oil that should of put me to sleep but it still did not work. I started getting worried and started to fell like going up to my parents and saying ‘Could you help me try too sleep?’ but if I did I felt like i would lose the chance of going to sleep if i stand up. It was now about 9:50pm and I was still trying too go to sleep and in the end, i could not hold it, I rushed to my parents room and said what i thought in my head then my mum suddenly asks if I have put those oils on, I replied ‘yes yes i have’, then she gave me some other things that help me go to sleep then at the end it was about 11:30, and thats when I fell asleep.

 I woke up and it was like already 8:03am and I was still very much sleepy, so I decided to go and ask mum if I could stay home and she replied ‘well, you much be really tired after last night and I am quiet busy at work today’ then looks at dad, dad replies ‘what?’ mum replied ‘could you look after Tommy today?’ dad says sure!’ so I got to the couch and relaxed  and just watched some things on the tv. In the end I was playing on the macbook. That night, mum went to this thing down in Paraparaumu. Then suddenly i start getting worried about mum, but in the end i fell asleep.

Day Two: It was about 6:45am then I wake up, I really started coughing. My nose started to run so I thought after all that I have something like a cold, again, I went to ask mum if I could stay home, she replied ‘well since Leo is coming with me to work I guess you can come too’. We got ready and Leo started crying cause he could not like play or watch on anything there but in the end mum talked to him then mum said he can only watch stuff on his phone. I do think he just wanted a day off school and wanted to play on the devices. We got to work and we just did stuff on the devices, jobs for mum, and did running laps around the storage place. When we got back home we went to play on the trampoline while we were waiting for sophia to get home then we keeped on gaming and gaming until dinner time. That night I could sadly even could not go to sleep but I did end up going to sleep but it was about 1am.

Day Three: I woke up and thought I really wanted to go to school today so I went into the kitchen too grab some food but mum came out and said ‘Hey Tommy, After last night, me and dad want you to stay home’, I had nothing too say but ok, I went on the couch then suddenly my nan came around asking if I wanted a hair cut, I had been wanted one for a long time and then it came. So 0fcourse I said YES!! We went down to the barber shop and got a hair cut. My nan really likes the Op Shop so we went there, The only reason why i liked it cause i got an alarm clock and speakers for my tv. After that I choose after those two nights I wanted to go to bed early so i went to bed at 7:15pm.

Lockdown Experince

 It was an unexpected lockdown alert. All of the phones were getting a notification of the alert level 4, I was watching tv then my mum yells ‘NO SCHOOL OR WORK TOMORROW!!’, I got really shocked about it happening, suddenly, Mrs Mat came coming to our houses the next day to hand over our 

Chromebooks, she put it on the ground in front of our gate then when she left I went to go and pick it up. The next morning at 9:30 we had a google meet like last year lockdown. We had been learning about Eels For at least a week. We started doing kahoots, then Whaea annie said we can make quizzes as a activity. I was going to make an quiz but I was to busy helping my Nan sadly :( . Mrs Mat came into our meeting every day, Then we even started doing jokes and riddles, And those were REALLY fun! I normally played on my Xbox and Macbook instead of doing school work, but I did mostly do school work, I was Really Shocked when i found there was 400 different species about Eels. I was one of the couple people to first blog. But I did miss the handball and playing with my friends, and I did miss whaea Annie alot. A thew days later we got an spa for my dads birthday! Well.. I would not say that was his birthday cause most of his presents we got him came later on like the spa came about 2 days after, and he still does not know this do shh, he’s getting a new phone in October. And as the same we still did Tuku Mihi and hands up on the google meets. I still got to see my friends but not face to face. We still had work to do on the class site, we were not doing the boy in the tower tho :( . There was only two ways to talk to each other, 1: Emails, 2: Class calls. It did not look the same every day, maybe because of the backgrounds, It was as quiet as a mouse with no bells. When we got back, It felt really different, we had to sanitise our hands when we came in, Most of the Teachers were wearing masks, and when I got back, I felt very happy!

The Girl And The Giraffe (Quick write)

 had always been together, for as long as he could remember. They had always been the best of friends. She had taught him everything he knew, relentlessly preparing him for life in the outside world..

This was the moment they had both been waiting for...

There was a girl, and a giraffe. They had been kicked out of their home, and it had been weeks since they’d left. Walking and walking until they stopped at a forest. She thought about it… she wanted to let go so she dropped the lead. She felt as empty as a desert. The giraffe didn’t mind. Then as silent as a grave, the giraffe walked away. The girl lay on the ground as flat as a pancake regretting her decision. The giraffe felt as good as gold to be with his tower of giraffes. He had a great life. The giraffe thought about the girl often and how lonely she would have been.

If I was in the Olympics

 I was Amazed and proud. I made it into the finales. It was our team vs Brazil national under-23 football team. It Was 15 Seconds left in the game and is was 12 all. The crowd was surrounding the ball, then suddenly the ball came flying like a bird straight to my feet. There was no one around me. I felt Bullet Proof! I wasn't jogging.. I was sprinting as fast as a cheetah. The goalie came running toward me, Everyone was yelling 5,4,3… I hit it left to dodge the goalie then hit it with my left foot and scored right on the bell. 

6 months later, I received a letter and a big box and it said, To Tommy Mabey, We received that you were a retired member of the NZ Olympic soccer team, and scored the goal on the last second. So we wanted to give you the present in the box.  - Japan Olympic HQ. I was glowing so hard in my mind. I took a plane and a taxi, all the way to the United States Of America to see my grandpa. Just like he said when I was 7, Don’t be a Dreamer, Be a Believer. I rushed into his door and said Grandpa, Look what I got after the game, and for the first time in forever, he smiled and stood up off his wheel chair. I felt elated, and I believed it would happen!

There things that I did in the holidays

 Three things that I did in the holidays. My Twin siblings birthday, going to Forest Lakes Camp and going to Upper and Lower Hutt. 

On the weekend before I went to camp it was my brother and sister’s birthday, they were turning 7. Manase, Rakapa, and Oscar got to come over. For lunch we had a Subway platter. We were going to go to Cloud Nine but my sister hurt her neck and sadly we couldn't go. Before the party me and Leo had our soccer games. The party was held at our house Sophia’s neck was in alot of pain then. I don’t think Sophia has that much of a good day. Last Wednesday, 

The first week of the holidays I went to Forest Lakes Camp. There we did lazer tag, bb-guns, chapel, archery, mudslide, and loads more. It  was amazing.

Me, Mum, Leo and Sophia went to Upper and Lower Hutt. When we went to Upper Hutt we went to the new park. We met Laura and Christiana(Mum’s friends). Me and Christiana’s grandchildren. We played on the big slide that was about 3x as big as me. After that we went to the Lower Hutt Mall. When we got there we found a cafe and had a drink. After that we went to the gaming store. Leo brought a 25$ gift card for the video game he plays. I waited until we got home so I could get money on my game.

I feel lucky about how I got to do those things.

My Holidays!

In the holidays I went to camp at Forest lakes. We had to call the teenagers who were looking after us Uncles. The uncle’s in my cabin were called Uncle Ezrael and Uncle Sam. On the first day we just played on the park for the day. The next day we got to play lazer tag, kayaking and loads more. Wednesday we were allowed to go to the canteen, I got a coke and some lollies. We even went in the donkey (trailer that we can ride on) to the grass slides and go-karts. I basically choose go karts. After that we did the confidence course or gladiator. And I did beat the confidence course. On the next night, we had lollies for tea. That’s my holidays!

All About Me!

Hello there. My name Tommy. I go to Waitohu School. I’m a Year 5 and I’m 9 years old. At school I have a lot of friends like Keanu, Oscar, Augie, Caleb and KJ. I love Grand Theft Auto 5, Roblox, Fortnite and Minecraft. I have 3 siblings. One called Bari, she's the one that moved out and is 21. Next I have two twins, their names are Leo and Sophia. They are both 6 years old. I have 2 pets, one's a kitten and the other is a dog. Their names are Trumpet and Deuce and of course a mum and a dad, and their names are Richard and Anna. I live in a big house just down the road from my school. That's really all about me.
